Hey {{first_name|there}}
Quick one today.
I picked two cereal boxes you'll find in a lot of family pantries: Froot Loops and Cheerios. The kids beg for one. The other has been on the breakfast table for as long as most of us can remember. Plenty of moms buy both.
So I put them side by side in Unjunk AI.

Froot Loops: 54. Cheerios: 90.
Same aisle. Same shelf. 36 points apart.
What the numbers say

Per 100g, straight from the app:
Sugar: 33.3g vs 5.1g. Froot Loops has more than 6 times the sugar.
Protein: 3.7g vs 12.8g. Cheerios has more than 3 times as much.
Fiber: about the same (11.1g vs 10.3g). Credit where it's due.
Sodium: close (527mg vs 487mg). Cheerios isn't perfect either. The app says salt is what pulls its score down.
The part that surprised me

Froot Loops is colored with Red 40 and Yellow 6.
In Europe, any food made with those two dyes has to carry this line on the package: "may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children."
Here, both are allowed. The FDA has only asked food makers to phase them out by the end of 2027, and that's voluntary. The box in your cart carries no warning at all.
Then there's your gut. I set mine to "bloating and gas" in the app, and it flagged the wheat in Froot Loops. Wheat contains fructans, one of the carbs people on a low FODMAP diet are told to watch. Cheerios? Nothing flagged for my gut. Your result depends on your own gut type, which is the whole point.
So should you never buy Froot Loops again?
That's your call, not mine. Unjunk AI will never tell you what you're "not allowed" to eat. It shows you what's in the box, what Europe does differently, and what might bother your gut. It takes about 3 seconds, standing in the aisle.
Try it on your pantry tonight
Open unjunkai.com on your phone. Nothing to download from an app store.
Take the 1-minute gut quiz, so every scan checks for your gut.
Scan the barcode on the cereal box your family eats most.
Scan a second box and see which one comes out ahead.
The honest bit about price
Your first 7 days are free. After that it's $9.69 a month. The app shows you the exact date of your first payment before you start, and you can cancel any time in You › Manage subscription. Cancel before day 7 and you pay nothing.
Hit reply and tell me: which two products should I put head to head next? Yogurt tubes? Fruit snacks? Mac and cheese? I'll scan the winner of your votes.
And if you know a mom (or grandma) who stands in the cereal aisle reading labels, forward this to her.
